Level IV Captain Rank Qualified Sailing Instructor / Assessor

In 2015, I sailed for the first time about a 38ft cruising catamaran as crew in the British Virgin Islands. I later took the US Sailing Basic Keelboat course on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA. I became heavily involved in amateur racing on small boats and cruising on monohulls and catamarans up to 45ft. In 2022 the Marine Corps moved me to the DC Metro area for service at the Pentagon. That summer, I became an instructor with DC Sail, where I coached US Sailing Smallboat on Flying Scots and racing Flying Juniors. In summer 2024, I started coaching Basic Keelboat at JWorld in Annapolis, MD. As a Marine, I learned to love the joy of teaching and training others. Coaching allows me to combine the joy of teaching others with my passion for sailing. I love watching new students learn to operate a sailboat safely and effectively while they pursue their interest or dream of sailing.
