I've been on the water my entire life, starting at an early age with rowboats and small power boats, and working with my father who was a commercial fisherman. My love of the water took me down a path to become a full time Master Mariner, and ive worked in most parts of the World in my professional career. I started sailing later in life at 42 and fell in love with it, and gave me a renewed passion to being on the water. After selling our first sailboat to buy our current one, I realized that all I wanted to do was help people to enjoy this lifestyle stress free! Since then I have received ASA instructor qualification, but when I learned of Nautic Ed, and their competency based assessments I had to be part of this amazing program! My Students and Crew refer to me as being laid back and patient, nobody learns when the Captain is upset or angry. I still work part time in the Canadian Artic in the summer months, where I teach ASD tugs, but I'd much rather be on my sailboat with you!
