Why is NauticEd for You?
More people are today realizing that sailing is a highly attractive, stress relieving and fulfilling family sport. However, since sailing now involves considerable technology and skills in handling modern yachts it is essential to have a knowledge base, to insure both safety and pleasure.
To efficiently learn sailing knowledge, NauticEd instructional materials are designed to provide:
- Quick and easy access to current sailing information
- Sailing theory content can be learned without being on the water.
- Unrestricted time - study where - when you wish
- One source that provides web based links.
- Detailed theory about a sailboat's many systems.
- Confidence building.
What you'll find with NauticEd is a series of courses that will captivate your senses, excite you about sailing, give you the skills and confidence you need and defrays the confusion.
What the on-line NauticEd does not do is give you the practical skills nor the hands on intuition. IE Which way does your hand automatically steer the wheel as a gust comes through and heals the boat a little. This can only be learned through practical exposure with a skilled instructor. But we can teach you why the boat heals and what are the consequences at 5 knots or 50 knots. We can spend the quality learning time with you that an instructor simply can not do in a limited time practical class. Therefore we highly recommend combining your practical knowledge with NauticEd's variety of theory courses.
Once you've completed our course, your practical learning time on the water will reduce - saving you time and money with your instructor.
Get educated, get excited and get yourself and your family safely out on the water.
